Justin Strong
After 30 years of presenting to customers and colleagues at all levels of an organization, I saw a real need in my company, and the industry, for presentation skills training. This lead to an initial investment of about 400 hours to author a class on presentation skills.
Much of this time was spent researching the latest science on persuasion, how the brain processes information, what makes effective graphics and the crucial elements of delivery
In addition, I spent countless hours analyzing the most effective presenters of our day and what made them engaging, funny, credible but most importantly, how they convinced their audience to take decisive action.
Hence the name of the class was "The Art and Science of Persuasive Presentations"
The class was initially taught at my company only and without any promotion, it quickly became the most popular class in the company, with a year long waiting list to get in. It was then I understood the depth of need for presentation skills training.
My goal was to not just educate, but transform the participants into more effective and confident presenters. From the feedback, right after the class and the following weeks, months and years, I knew I had achieved my goal.
My mission is to enable employees of high performing companies to become more effective and confident presenters
